The Syracuse Orange (17-9, 7-5) and Pittsburgh Panthers (1-10, 6-7) meet for the 105th time today in the Carrier Dome. Tied with Penn State as the third-most frequent SU hoops opponent ever, the Panthers will tip with the Orange at 12:00 p.m. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.
Syracuse owns a 65-39 advantage in the all- time series and has won four of the last six pairings. Pittsburgh won the earlier meeting, 83-77, on February 7.
Three Pitt players have started all 27 games this season -- sophomore forwards Jamel Artis (13.0 PPG, 5.9 RPG) and Michael Young (12.8 PPG, 7.5 RPG) as well as junior guard James Robinson (9.8 PPG, 5.0 APG). Artis had 20 points and 10 rebounds the last time the two teams played.
