As we all know, former Syracuse offensive lineman Sean Hickey is in Indianapolis (along with safety Durell Eskridge) for the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine. While he arrived back on Tuesday, Thursday was the first day anything significant happened for those already in town (kickers, special teams guys, offensive linemen and tight ends). That "anything significant?" Hickey put himself atop the Syracuse record books at the Combine.
With 35 bench press repetitions, Hickey surpassed former clubhouse co-leaders Ryan Bartholomew (2011) and Ryan LaCasse (2006), who each recorded 34 in their respective years. James Wyche (33 in 2006) and Tony Fiammetta (30 in 2009) are the only other Orange players to top 30. Hickey finished third out of everyone at the Combine on Thursday, with only Miami's Ereck Flowers (37) and Missouri's Mitch Morse (36) topping his number.
Friday will cap a busy week for Hickey, as that first group of players will go through on-field workouts (timing, stations, skill drills), and participate in some additional interviews. Hickey met with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants on Tuesday already -- which could both be good fits for him in the middle rounds.

As for Eskridge, he arrives in Indy today, and will be there through Monday as part of the day four arrivals group -- defensive backs.
If you're watching the Combine on NFL Network, god's speed. Otherwise, we'll be sure to note anything else important that happens with regard to Hickey and Eskridge through Sunday.
