Syracuse Orange (16-9, 7-5) vs No. 12 Louisville Cardinals (20-5, 8-4) GameThread

The Orange and Cardinals renew their rivalry. Can the Orange finally earn themselves a marquee victory before the year is out?

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange (16-9, 7-5) and No. 12 Louisville Cardinals (20-5, 8-4) meet for the first time as fellow ACC members tonight when the Orange host the Cardinals in the Carrier Dome. The game will be televised on ESPN and ESPN3.

SU and Louisville built themselves a nice little rivalry in the Big East, though that ended in 2013 with the Big East Conference championship game. Louisville leads the all-time series, 15-7, and the Cardinals have won the two most recent games.

The Cardinals feature sophomore guard Terry Rozier (18.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG) and junior forward Montrezl Harrell (15.4 PPG, 9.3 RPG). Louisville will be without enior guard Chris Jones (13.6 PPG), who has been suspended for a violation of team rules. And of course, Louisville center Chinanu Onuaku (3.2 PPG, 4.7 RPG) is the brother of former Orange center Arinze Onuaku.
