Class of 2016 basketball recruit Harry Giles reduced his final list to eight schools on Monday, keeping the Syracuse Orange in consideration.
At 6-foot-10, 220 pounds, Giles is a five-star recruit and the No. 2 recruit in his class, according to ESPN. The power forward is currently a junior at Wesleyan Christian Academy in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Along with Syracuse, his list includes Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, North Carolina, UNLV, and Wake Forest. He revealed all of this on Twitter.

Giles tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus while playing with Team USA's U-16 team in June 2013, but has since recovered nicely. With Team CP3 in the EYBL Circuit last year, he averaged 10.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. Through 32 games this season, the junior has led Wesleyan Christian to a 28-4 record and to the No.1 ranking in the state of North Carolina.
Obviously, this would be an exciting get for SU, though it is still very much early in the process. Keep your fingers crossed, Orange fans.
