The Syracuse Orange (7-3) get back to basics on Saturday when they host long-time Central New York rival Cornell Big Red (5-4) in the Carrier Dome.
The game is set to tip at Noon and will be televised on the ACC RSN as well as ESPN3.
Syracuse leads the all-time series 89-31, which includes a current winning streak which covers 35 games. The Orange won last year’s matchup, 61-44.
Can the Orange keep their historical dominance going while also getting back on track following a loss vs. St. John's? Let's see what everyone thinks...
Michael Burke
Syracuse 80, Cornell 62
As was the case last week against Colgate, Syracuse rebounds from a loss with a convincing win over an in-state foe that the Orange should beat handily. Michael Gbinije continues his red-hot start to the season, and SU as a whole connects on an impressive percentage of its 3-pointers.

Syracuse 84 Cornell 70
Look for the Orange to come out and make some shots early to help wake up a sleepy Noon crowd in the Dome. A week of practice after the St. John's game should lead to a focused and motivated group of Syracuse players. I think Malachi Richardson snaps out of his slump in a big way and hits the 20-pt mark.
James Szuba
Syracuse 85 - Cornell 62
If there's one thing you need to know about Cornell, it's Robert Hatter. I expect him to have a good game but Cornell has the defensive acumen of the Ernie Davis statue. Syracuse has emphasized improving on the defensive end this week after getting embarrassed at St. John's. I expect Syracuse to break out of the offensive end as well.
Andy Pregler
Syracuse 75, Cornell 62
I think the Orange use this week off to really reset the whole thing. I think we see the Orange hit their shots, specifically Lydon being more aggressive and Cooney driving more. Hopefully this is the game needed for the Orange get on a roll going into the last part of the non-conference schedule.
Sean Keeley
Syracuse 77 - Cornell 67
This is probably the best-case scenario game for the Orange right now. That chip is affixed to their shoulder once more, they've had a week to dig in to practice and they get a beatable opponent in the Dome. Cornell might put up a fight but the Orange should be able to break them down defensively and pull away, especially if the shots are falling.
How about you?
