The Syracuse Orange will be led by seniors Halle Majorana and Kayla Treanor this season and both were selected to the Inside Lacrosse All-American first team. RS senior Mallory Vehar was picked to the All-American third team. Junior Kaeli O'Connor was considered honorable mention to the All-American teams.

Kayla Treanor, an attacker, has already had a phenomenal career; picking up nominations for the Tewaarton award, given to the nation's most valuable player, in her sophomore and junior seasons. She has also been 1st team All-American twice and picked up several other honors and awards. Treanor currently has 210 goals, ranking her fourth in Syracuse history.

Halle Majorana, also an attacker, broke out last season, scoring 91 points last season, which ranks fifth nationally. Majorana also was an All-American first teamer. Remarkably, she recorded a point in each game last season.

Syracuse starts its season against the #12 ranked Loyola (MD) Greyhounds at the Carrier Dome. The last time these teams faced, it was in the elite eight, last year. Syracuse won 10-7, securing a trip to the Final Four. The game is on Sunday, February 14, at noon.
