Friday, word trickled out that Dino Babers had hired former Virginia RB coach Chris Beatty to his new Syracuse Orange staff. Looks like Beatty is already paying dividends as 2016 Florida LB Kenneth Ruff has flipped his commitment from Virginia to Syracuse.

Scout notes that Beatty was Ruff's primary recruiter at Virginia. It probably helps that Ruff is currently on his official visit to Syracuse, accompanied by current Orange commits Rex Culpepper, Scoop Bradshaw, Moe Neal and Jamal Holloway.
The 6'1", 240-pound Fort Lauderdale senior is rated three stars by Scout, Rivals and 24/7. His other offers include Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Georgia Tech amongst others. He rans a 4.82-second 40 at the Nike SPARQ combine.
Ruff is now the 15th member of the Class of 2016, which is in the midst of a revolving door movement right now. Some of the Shafer commits are opening their recruitment back up while Babers commits trickle in.
Stephen Bailey notes that the only other LB currently in the 2016 Class, Dymelle Parker, has yet to be contacted by the new staff. (UPDATE: Looks like Dymelle saw the writing on the wall...
I am now decommiting from Syracuse University, I appreciate the staff and Syracuse Nation , thanks to you all and I wish the best for the .
