Syracuse Orange recruiting is starting to heat up under the new regime with a plethora of offers going out to prospects, including many in Florida. Here's a recap of all the offers that went out on Wednesday:
2017 TE Jake Marwede (Wilmette, IL)
Jake Marwede is a 2017 TE out of Loyola Academy in Illinois who was the first player to receive an Orange offer today. At 6-foot-5 230 pounds, he has tremendous size for the tight end position and has 4.8 speed that fits well in Dino Babers offense. He is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports and holds offers from other schools such as Nebraska, Northwestern, and Arkansas. He also held a offer from Bowling Green while being run by the current Orange staff.
2017 WR Jaylen Harris (Cleveland, OH)
Jaylen Harris is a 2017 WR out of Cleveland Heights High School in Ohio. The 6-foot-5 210 pound wide out is rated a 4-star recruit by 247Sports and holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Tennessee. Ohio State is believed to be the current favorite to land Harris' services.
2016 OT Sean Foster (Mundelein, IL)
Sean Foster is a 2016 OT from Carmel Catholic High School in Illinois. A recent Minnesota decommit, the 6-foot-8 285 pound tackle is a huge force on the offensive line. He is rated as a 4-star recruit by 247Sports and holds offers from elite programs like Cal, Kentucky, Duke, and Purdue. He will be taking an official visit to Purdue this weekend. Syracuse is in good position to try and land him and the first goal will be to try and get him on campus.
2016 WR Jack Wegher (Bradenton, FL)
Jack Wegher is a 2016 WR out of IMG Academy in Florida. The 5-foot-10 180 pound Wegher is an explosive athlete who would fit well in Dino's offense. He has good football genes as his brother, Brandon Wegher, currently plays in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers. He is rated a 3-star recruit by Scout and is currently comitted to Purdue. He has been on other visits and has a relationship with the staff from his being recruited by Bowling Green. He will visit Purdue this weekend and hopefully the staff can get him on campus soon as he's expected to be an early enrollee.
2017 DE Jacub Panasiuk (Roselle, IL)
Jacub Panasiuk is a 2017 DE out of Lake Park High School in Illinois. The 6-foot-3 235 pound prospect isn't the most physically intimidating, but makes up for it with solid 4.9 speed. He is not currently rated by any of the major recruiting services, but holds offers from FAU and Illinois to accompany the offer today.
2017 ATH Christopher Henderson (Miami, FL)
Christopher Henderson is a 2017 RB/WR out of Columbus High School in Florida. The 6-foot 175 pound athlete seems to fit the perfect mold for Dino's offense with incredible speed (4.34 40-yard dash according to his Hudl profile). He also says he may play defensive back in college, but that would be up to the staff. He is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports and holds other offers from Florida, Miami, FAU, and Cincinnati.
2017 CB Trajan Bandy (Miami, FL)
Trajan Bandy is a 2017 CB also from Columbus High School. The 5-9 180 pound defensive back has 4.53 which helps him greatly in pass protection. He is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports and holds other offers from the likes of Clemson, Alabama, Michigan, and Nebraska.
2018 CB Joshua Jobe (Miami, FL)
Joshua Jobe is a 2018 CB and yet another Columbus high school product (Am I starting to see a trend?). The 6-foot-1 180 pound corner is currently committed to Miami, but the sophomore still has a long way until signing day. He does not hold a rating from any of the major recruiting services, but holds offers from Cincinnati and Alabama to go along with Cuse and Miami.
2017 DE/OLB Guy Thomas (Miami, FL)
Guy Thomas is a 2017 DE/OLB who is also from Columbus High School (No, still not convinced of a trend). The 6-foot-2 200 pound Thomas possesses strength along with a 4.79 40 time which allows him to dominate his opponents. He is rated a 3-star recruit by Scout and holds other offers from Alabama, South Carolina, Miami, and Florida State.
Other Recruiting News:
- 2016 DE Josh Uche out of Columbus High School (Okay, there's a trend) received an in-home visit from 'Cuse assistant Nick Monroe and reported that it went well. Uche recently decommitted from Miami after Al Golden was fired. He held an offer from the previous Orange staff as well as from Bowling Green.
Good in home visit with Syracuse

- Syracuse unsurprisingly missed the top three for 2016 Safety Tony Butler.
