Sitting at 6-0 now, with wins over UConn and Texas A&M, and a Battle 4 Atlantis championship in their pockets, the Syracuse Orange basketball team is now ranked in both polls. SU debuts in the USA Today Coaches Poll at 19th overall, and a surprising 14th in the AP Poll. Syracuse had not received votes in either poll last week.
In the AP, Syracuse sits 68 votes ahead of 15th-ranked Oregon, who's also undefeated. They're also 92 votes behind Gonzaga at 13, who they would've faced in the Battle 4 Atlantis final if not for the Bulldogs' loss the Aggies the day before. The Orange are 59 votes behind fellow unbeaten Xavier in the Coaches rankings, and 66 votes up on already-vanquished A&M.
Syracuse is one of just three remaining undefeated teams remaining in the ACC, along with Louisville and Pittsburgh. The Orange are also among six ranked conference teams in both polls. They're joined by Duke (7th in AP/5th in USAT), North Carolina (9th/9th), Virginia (10th/10th), Miami (21st/21st) and Louisville (24th/22nd). UConn falls out of both polls, while Texas A&M is 18th and 20th, respectively, on the strength of the win over the Zags.

Next up for the Orange this week: an unranked, 4-3 Wisconsin Badgers squad on Wednesday night and a hilariously 2-3 Georgetown Hoyas squad on Saturday.
