Going into the season, this Syracuse Orange team was teetering on the edge of rankings. They lost early in the year to a Hofstra team that ended up making the NCAA Tournament, but at the time was outside looking in. The team was young and took their hits as the season went on, maturing as they've gone. After some early dings, this team seems to keep rolling. They'll get their chance to continue the streak this afternoon at Syracuse Soccer Stadium, where at 1pm they take on the #11 Seattle University Redhawks.

The Orange are coming off a solid 2-1 performance over the Dartmouth Big Green this past weekend. Ben Polk continued his amazing run of form, netting another. Louis Cross finished it off with the game winning goal, both off Julian Buescher assists. They're on a five game unbeaten streak at present, starting with the ACC Tournament and continuing until now.

Seattle, the 11 seed, advanced to the Round of 16 by beating perennial power UCLA. They won't go down lightly. This will be an offense vs defense showdown, as the RedHawks have one of the best scoring offenses in the country this year. The stout Syracuse back line will have their work cut out for them in this one. The winner of this matchup will take on the winner of Georgetown vs Boston College.
