The 2015 Syracuse Orange football season mercifully comes to an end Saturday when the team hosts the Boston College Eagles in the Carrier Dome. Two three-win squads enter. One four-win squad leaves. Also leaving will be Scott Shafer, who was relieved of his head coaching duties earlier this week. Will Scott go out a winner? Let's see what everyone thinks.

Syracuse 16 - BC 13
Boston College is allowing fewer than 15 points a game but only scoring an average of 17 a game. Syracuse is scoring almost 28 points per game but they're allowing over 32 a game. Between Syracuse's abysmal defense and Boston College's atrocious offense, something has to give. If nothing else, Syracuse players may want to send Shafer out on a high note, while BC has nothing to play for (except Orange Eagle points).

Syracuse 16 - BC 13
Everything about this game screams ugly. Don't expect the Orange to move the ball much on BC, but BC's offense is so bad, I expect Syracuse to take advantage of good enough field position to kick field goals, and for them to hit one long offensive play for a TD. We can let Shafer get carried off the field by Trudo and Simmons and lock up the Orange Eagle.

BC 17 - Syracuse 13
In their season finale against Boston College a season, Syracuse came out extremely flat and stumbled to a 28-7 loss. This time around, though, with Scott Shafer coaching his final game, I expect a much better effort from the Orange. But, ultimately, that won't be enough, as SU will fail to get much going against the Eagles' stingy defense.

Syracuse 24 - BC 20
"High-scoring," I know. But with Syracuse's defensive struggles and an offensive attack that more appears to be beat my athletes than scheme, I think this one could at least top 20 for both squads. Zack Mahoney's option is viable enough to set up the passing game later on, and SU largely avoids turnovers. The defense, while still pretty rough, manages to grab enough stops to hold off the Eagles. More #OrangeEagle points for us.
Sean Keeley
Syracuse 14 - BC 10
I'm pretty sure this is going to be the ugly football game everyone expects it to be. Not only is Syracuse's offense going up against one of the best defenses in the nation but it's doing so without a bunch of key players. Saving us is the fact that BC's offense is just turrrable and our defense should be able to do some good things and finish strong(er). This game'll come down to turnovers and Riley Dixon fakes. I would like to see Scott Shafer go out with a win and I'll just hope that it happens.
Now it's your turn...
