Syracuse vs. BC: Eric Dungey, Brisly Estime Among Eight Orange Out

Syracuse will play it's final game without QB1, WR2 and a bunch more notable players.

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

When the Syracuse Orange close out the 2015 season on Saturday against the Boston College Eagles, they'll be doing it without at least eight players, including presumed starting quarterback Eric Dungey and starting wideout Brisly Estime.

DE Luke Arciniega (upper body)
WR Sean Avant (lower body)
LB Parris Bennett (upper body)
QB Eric Dungey (upper body)
DB Daivon Ellison (upper body)
WR Brisly Estime (lower body)
Hybrid Ben Lewis (upper body)
TE Kendall Moore (upper body)

Perhaps the only surprise is Estime. The wide receiver was suspended by the ACC for the first-balf of the game over the unsportsmanlike conduct ejection last week. Not sure if he's actually injured or if SU just decided to keep him out for the entire game.

As for Dungey, there wouldn't be much point to him coming back even if he were cleared. Given everything that's happened this season and his potential for seasons ahead, best to let him start the off-season process early and hopefully be ready to go by spring.
