Syracuse coach Scott Shafer, along with his coordinators and players, will not speak to the media this week, Syracuse Athletics announced in an email Monday.
Shafer will not appear on the weekly Atlantic Coast Conference football coaches teleconference or hold his weekly press conference. It also appears that there will not be a final edition of "Shafe's Take," Cuse.com's weekly interview with Shafer, which is typically posted on Monday afternoons.
Additionally, Syracuse coordinators and players will not be made available for the weekly Tuesday evening media availability.
This all comes after Syracuse announced in a statement Monday morning that director of athletics Mark Coyle had relieved Shafer of his duties, effective following Saturday's game against Boston College at the Carrier Dome.
Beyond that statement, though, it doesn't look like we'll be hearing much out of SU for the remainder of the week, including from Coyle himself:
I'm told Mark Coyle won't be making any statements at this time beyond what he put out this morning. Translation: No radio, TV etc for now
