Syracuse Football: Orange vs. Clemson Gets Six-Day Option Treatment

We'll wait until this weekend's results now...

Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

As some may or may not know, the ACC doesn't always confirm game times/networks a couple weeks out. Such is the case for the Syracuse Orange today, as the conference announced it will hold off on confirming the kickoff timing and network for the Clemson game (November 14) until after this coming Saturday's contest.

Syracuse's game against the Clemson Tigers is not the only one to wait until after November 7's games, either. The league announced additional options on Pittsburgh at Duke, NC State at Florida State and Miami at North Carolina, respectively, as well.

While you can make some educated guesses about where these games could slot in, it's tough to truly gauge things when most of the week 11 schedule is up in the air around the country. But nonetheless, a quick go at predicting where these games end up, assuming the following results from week 10:

North Carolina over Duke, Notre Dame over Pittsburgh, Louisville over Syracuse, NC State over Boston College, Miami over Virginia, Clemson over Florida State.

Projected Week 11 schedule (for six-day option games):

Miami at North Carolina, Noon ET on ABC

Clemson at Syracuse, 12:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network

Pitt at Duke, 3:30 ET on ESPN2

NC State at Florida State, 7 p.m. ET on ESPNU

A lot of quality matchups there, with the Syracuse game at the bottom of that list, unfortunately. Clemson being a top-five team this season is really all that gives it a chance to be a nationally-televised game. The other games are between bowl-eligible squads fighting it out for a leg up in the standings, thus are more compelling.

... But watch I'm 100 percent wrong about all of these above.
