Vote For This Week's TNIAAM Athlete of the Week

With field hockey on a bye this week, it gives opportunities for other Syracuse Orange teams to take the coveted award, but who will it be?

Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

Last week Syracuse Orange fans selected Alma Fenne as the TNIAAM Athlete of the Week. Fenne and her field hockey teammates enjoyed a bye as they wait for this weekend's ACC Championships, but there were plenty of other worthy nominees, so let's take a look at them:

Margo Malone- Women's Cross Country

Margo finished 3rd at the ACC Championship meet. This is her 2nd consecutive 3rd place finish and 3rd straight top 10 ACC Cross-Country finish. Margo led the Orange women to a 4th place team finish as they push for a return to the NCAA Championships.

Martin Hehir- Men's Cross Country

Martin finished 5th at the ACC Championships. Although he was the 3rd runner for the Orange this year, Martin is being honored for being a scoring member of 4 consecutive conference championship teams. In addition to the team titles, Martin's resume includes individual championships in both the Big East and ACC.

Alexis Koval- W. Soccer

Alexis ended her senior season tied for the team lead in points. The Orange lost their final game 1-0 to Clemson and finished the season with a 7-11-1 record.

Kamal Miller- M. Soccer

Kamal tallied the lone Syracuse goal in a 2-1 defeat against Boston College. The Orange will host the NC State Wolfpack on Wednesday night in the 1st round of the ACC Tournament.

Alysha Burriss- W. Ice Hockey

Alysha had 2 goals and an assist to help lead the Orange to a 4-3 OT win at Robert Morris on Friday. The three points gives Alysha 4 points in Syracuse's first 3 conference games.

Silvi Uattara- Volleyball

Silvi helped lead the Orange women to two wins this weekend, moving the team to a 17-6 (8-4 in the ACC) record on the season. Silvi had 17 kills in Sunday's win over Clemson and is 3rd on the team in kills on the season. Syracuse will host UNC and NC State next weekend.
