Last week Syracuse Orange fans selected Alma Fenne as the TNIAAM Athlete of the Week. Fenne and her field hockey teammates enjoyed a bye as they wait for this weekend's ACC Championships, but there were plenty of other worthy nominees, so let's take a look at them:
Margo Malone- Women's Cross Country
Margo finished 3rd at the ACC Championship meet. This is her 2nd consecutive 3rd place finish and 3rd straight top 10 ACC Cross-Country finish. Margo led the Orange women to a 4th place team finish as they push for a return to the NCAA Championships.
Martin Hehir- Men's Cross Country
Martin finished 5th at the ACC Championships. Although he was the 3rd runner for the Orange this year, Martin is being honored for being a scoring member of 4 consecutive conference championship teams. In addition to the team titles, Martin's resume includes individual championships in both the Big East and ACC.
Alexis Koval- W. Soccer
Alexis ended her senior season tied for the team lead in points. The Orange lost their final game 1-0 to Clemson and finished the season with a 7-11-1 record.
