On a day when SU honored it's greatest football heroes, the Syracuse Orange (3-6) will attempt to make some history of their own when they host the No. 1 Clemson Tigers (9-0) in the Carrier Dome.
The Orange need to win all three remaining games in order to remain bowl eligible and a win today would be nothing short of the biggest upset in 30 years. So...we've got a lot going on.
- Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and you can watch the game on ABC/ESPN2. Check local listings to see which one you get.
- Clemson opened as a 26.5-point favorite and they'll enter the game a 30-point favorite. Goodness.
- The TNIAAM crew doesn't like our chances today. But hey, stranger things...
- The Orange will be wearing their "dress blues" today to honor veteran's. Clemson will be wearing white & orange.
- Today has all the makings of another September 13, 2008. Gosh we hope not.
- Get the inside scoop from Shakin The Southland and see what we had to say to them (best not to read the Clemson fan comments...).
- And of course, the Orange will be relying today on Zack Mahoney to lead us. The fifth-string walk-on JuCo transfer is in because Eric Dungey got UPI'd against Louisville.
