Matthew Moyer, one of the Syracuse Orange's two current commitments in the class of 2016, has officially signed his commitment letter.
Moyer signed during the one week period of early signing that the NCAA allows. The early signing period started Wednesday, November 11th.
Matthew Moyer is a lengthy forward that has the athleticism to fit perfectly into Jim Boeheim's zone. The much talked about forward out of Columbus Ohio has been waiting to put on the Orange for a while. Moyer has been committed to the Orange since August of 2014. Moyer recently transferred to South Kent School in Connecticut, where he will play his senior year. South Kent is apart of NEPSAC, the New England based league that produces Division 1 seemingly every year. Current players Kaleb Joseph and Tyler Lydon both played in the NEPSAC.
(Ed. Note: In his first game with South Kent Moyer scored 30 points and collected 13 rebounds.)

The Orange's other commit in that class is Tyus Battle. Battle is expected to sign his letter of intent before the early signing period ends. The Orange are also pursuing Taurean Thompson, a big man in the class of 2016 who also plays in the NEPSAC at Brewster Academy. Thompson recently made it know that he won't be committing until the spring.
