Tony Butler is a 6'1", 195 lbs. cornerback for reigning Ohio High School Athletic Association Champion St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. If that school sounds familiar, it's because current Orange linebacker Troy Henderson, Jr. attended St. Edward as well. Butler tweeted his top six teams on Monday evening, including the Syracuse Orange.

Butler, a consensus three-star recruit, originally committed to Pitt back in March of this year, but decided to re-open his recruitment in July. When he de-committed, he did not have Syracuse in his list of top schools, so Syracuse obviously has made significant strides with Butler since July. Butler continues to be on Ohio State's radar as well, although he has not received an offer as of yet.
Syracuse's secondary is in need of playmakers. Syracuse has three verbal commitments in the secondary in this class and is expected to take at least one more defensive back, although more are certainly possible.
