Vote Now for This Week's TNIAAM Athlete of the Week

We've reached October and as the weather starts to cool here in Central New York, the Syracuse Orange fall sports athletes are still heating up. Let's see who some of last week's top performers were..

As the calendar turns to October, many of the Syracuse Orange fall sports continue their hot starts. Each week, we will give our loyal readers the opportunity to select the TNIAAM Athlete of the Week. Congratulations go out to SU Cross Country standout Justyn Knight, who was voted last week's TNIAAM Athlete of the Week. Now, let's take a look at this week's nominees:

Alma Fenne- Field Hockey

Alma notched three goals in the two victories last week for the #2 Orange. Syracuse beat Monmouth 5-0 on Friday and trounced Cornell 9-1 on Sunday. Alma now has 7 goals and 6 assists on the season, and those 20 points are tied for 2nd on the team.

Julian Buescher- M. Soccer

Julian scored two goals to lead the Orange to a 3-1 road victory over the Duke Blue Devils on Friday evening. He also added an assist in Syracuse's 2-0 win over Colgate last Tuesday. Syracuse has a four game winning streak and Buescher leads the team with 13 points, and is tied for the ACC lead in assists.

Courtney Brosnan- W. Soccer

Courtney has played nearly every minute in goal for the Orange this season. She leads the ACC in saves with 51 on the season and has a goals against average of 1.49.

Leah Levert- Volleyball

The Orange rebounded from their 1st ACC loss at Louisville to defeat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday. Leah is currently 3rd in the ACC and 28th in the country with 1.35 blocks per set.
