Wiggins is a 5'10", 180 lbs. defensive back at South Dade (FL) Senior High School in the 2016 class. According to the Miami Herald, he described himself as a 'soft University of Miami commit', meaning he is still open to offers from and considering visits to other schools. He verbally committed to Miami back in February.
In the video interview with the Herald, Wiggins listed the Syracuse Orange, the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Louisville Cardinals as the programs showing the most interest. Wiggins said he has an official visit to Miami scheduled for January and that he wanted to visit some of the other schools showing the most interest as well.
Syracuse's secondary has struggled this year and has limited depth. Syracuse has verbal commitments from defensive backs Monquavion Brinson, Scoop Bradshaw and Will Harper. Syracuse is holding at least one more spot in this class for a defensive back, but certainly could take more than one.
