Bovada's latest odds for the 2016 Men's NCAA Basketball Championship are out, and the Syracuse Orange... are favored even less than they were back in May. Today, Bovada/Vegas says the Orange are now up to 66-to-1. They were 50-to-1 in May.
No indications as to why things changed for SU or any other squad, though the absence of Moustapha Diagne could have affected our chances. Another factor for the overall level of difficulty for the Orange: they have the toughest road schedule in the entire ACC.
Where do Syracuse's chances stack up, compared to other ACC teams and some of the foes sitting on the 2015-16 schedule? Some odds of interest:
Duke Blue Devils: 8/1
North Carolina Tar Heels: 10/1
Virginia Cavaliers: 18/1
Gonzaga Bulldogs (possible): 25/1
Michigan Wolverines (possible): 25/1
UConn Huskies (possible): 25/1
Texas Longhorns (possible): 40/1
Louisville Cardinals: 50/1
Florida State Seminoles: 66/1
Georgetown Hoyas NOPE NOPE NOPE: 66/1
Miami (FL) Hurricanes: 100/1
Texas A&M Aggies (possible): 100/1
Pittsburgh Panthers: 250/1
St. John's Red Storm: 250/1
Wake Forest Demon Deacons: 500/1

Vegas clearly knows some things, but not all. We'll see how this season plays out and if the Orange can erase some longer odds that currently stand.
