Riley Dixon is the presumed Heisman Trophy winner this year. He'll also be in the running for the Wuerffel Trophy, which honors student-athletes who make a difference in community service.

If you've got an award, Riley Dixon should probably win it.

The Syracuse Orange punter is America's Darling and the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy this year, but there's more awards out there. One of which is the Wuerffel Trophy, which is awarded to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement. Sounds like Riley to us.

Riley was on the watch list this summer and he's now one of the 93 players officially up for the award. You know all about Dixon's on-the-field accolades but what about his off-the-field ones?

He has earned SU Athletic Director's Honor Roll accolades eight times during his collegiate career. In addition, he was named to the 2012 BIG EAST All-Academic Team and 2013 and 2014 All-ACC Academic Teams. In addition, he is a semifinalist for the 2015 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented to the nation's top football scholar-athlete.

Dixon's community service work includes visiting disabled veterans at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, speaking to disciplined youth at the Onondaga County Justice Center, and visiting the Elmcrest Children's Center. In high school, Dixon was a member of the peer ministry at Christian Brothers Academy.

Just give the man the award now. Also, f*** you, Sam Ponder & David Pollack.
