Syracuse Orange (3-2) vs. Virginia Cavaliers (1-4) First-Half GameThread

It may or may not be a must-win but the Syracuse football team desperately needs a win today. Can they pick up a road ACC victory and get one game closer to a bowl game?

Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange have three wins on the season but they've lost two in a row, including one to a team they were "supposed" to beat. Now they find themselves on the road against the a Virginia Cavaliers team that's probably a little better than their 1-4 record. Can the Orange get back to winning before they start running an ACC gauntlet? And can they get that coveted fourth win en route to bowl eligibility? Let's find out.

The game kicks at 3:30 p.m. EST and you can find it on your local RSN affiliate or ESPN3.

What do our Hoos pals at Streaking the Lawn think is going to happen? They share some thoughts with us.

Syracuse is wearing all-whites this week (see uni W-L over last two years). Virginia's going to look like us.

Dan and John spend an hour previewing the game on this week's podcast. We promise it's no more than 20 percent about baseball and beer.

This week could come down to how Syracuse's passing exploits (or fails to exploit) Virginia's secondary.

The injury report says no Kendall Moore (again) AND possibly no Rodney Williams.

Jordan Fredericks is finally starting at running back!
