Syracuse Football: Alin Edouard Going JUCO Route, No Longer Joining Orange

When it rains, it pours...

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

This morning, it was revealed that George McDonald was leaving Syracuse for NC State. Last night, we also found that Alin Edouard -- the quarterback of the future and recruiting class headliner -- now will not be on campus this month, as originally reported.

According to Twitter feed JUCO Frenzy, and then reiterated by the Daily Orange, the former four-star recruit will be headed to Garden City (KS) Community College to play a season or two with the Broncbusters (actual team name).

Obviously this is a big loss for Syracuse, and also not a surprising one. There have been questions around Edouard since he arrived last fall and then left for personal reasons. And now, just days before he was supposed to officially begin his enrollment, he's gone again. The McDonald news may not have anything to do with this... or maybe it does, and we see him on the opposite sideline at a 2017 NC State game. Note: Please, no.

Hopefully this is what Edouard needs to do what's best for himself and his family. Whether he ends up at Syracuse or elsewhere in a couple years, we wish him the best. But seriously, Alin.. please don't go to another school in the Atlantic.
