The Syracuse Orange (14-5, 5-1) and Miami Hurricanes (12-5, 2-2) meet today in the Carrier Dome in a key ACC contest today at 4:00 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPN3.
Syracuse has a 16-5 advantage in the all-time series with Miami and have won the last four games, including a sweep of last year’s two contests.
Jim Larranaga is in his fourth season at Miami. He’s led the Hurricanes to a 79-41 record during his tenure. Miami is one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the ACC, averaging approximately 8.3 made threes per game. Redshirt junior guard Angel Rodriguez (14.5 PPG) tops the team with 38 3-pointers in 18 games. Redshirt junior guard Sheldon McClellan (15.4 PPG, 5.6 RPG) is the team’s top scorer. Junior Tonye Jekiri (7.8 PPG, 10.1 RPG) leads the ACC in rebound average.
