Syracuse's loss to Notre Dame on Saturday was a bummer, obviously. But while we're all pretty annoyed about the result, it seems the ACC is willing to find some positive takeaways. Or at least one. Because this morning, they announced Orange free safety Durell Eskridge is one of week five's ACC Co-Defensive Backs of the Week.
Eskridge gained the honor after compiling nine tackles, recovering a fumble and picking off Irish QB Everett Golson for a touchdown late in the contest. In a game that made the Syracuse defensive backs look very over-matched as a unit, Eskridge at least managed to be the lone bright spot. The redshirt junior shares the week five honor with Duke's Jeremy Cash.
