Get To Know Your Orange Man -- #85 LB Nate Kadah

New, 1 comment

Meet Syracuse's newest walk-on, linebacker Nate Kadah.

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Nate Kadah

Position: Linebacker

Year: Freshman

Height: 6'2" (per Hudl)

Weight: 223

Hometown: Manlius, NY

High School: Fayetteville-Manlius

2013 Stats: Kadah attended Le Moyne College, where he did not play football.

2014 Projections: A walk-on who hasn't played football in two years, it's unlikely that Kadah will see much playing time this season.

How'd He Get Here: After playing football at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and spending a year at Le Moyne, Kadah was offered a walk-on spot by head coach Scott Shafer earlier this week.

What'd Recruiting Sites Say: Not rated.

Money Quote: As you might have expected of the first-year walk-on, there are no quotes (yet) from Kadah to be found.

Links of Wonder: Kadah played football at Fayetteville-Manlius with Wolf Shafer, son of Scott Shafer.

Twitterfeed: @NateKadah

Tweet Of Wonder: My thoughts exactly, Nate.

What Does Shafer Think Of Him: Per Syracuse.com:

"Loved football. Had to endure some tough times at home, lost his dad, a great man, and went to Le Moyne. Probably could have gone anywhere academically, decided to go to Le Moyne to be close, help his mom get through a tough year and he reached out and said, 'I sure would love to play football again.' I said, 'Why don't you come over?'"

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: In 2006, James Chupaila, principal at Fayateville-Manlius, banned grinding -- or what he referred to as "pornographic dancing" -- at school dances. No, I'm not kidding.

Let's Get A Good Look Atcha: Unfortunately, Kadah does not have a Youtube highlight reel. Guess we'll have to wait to see him play.
