Syracuse Football Practice Catch-Up: Brisly Estime & A.J. Long Back in Action

New, 1 comment

Monday's practice is in the books as time nears on Syracuse's first game of 2014. What went down?

A.J. Long was back doing hand-offs and other drills as he recovers from the shoulder injury that kept him out of the Fort Drum scrimmage.

Brisly Estime was a full participant in practice for the first time in a while as he recovers from an ankle injury. He worked mostly with the third-team.

Jamal Custis has been working out a lot with both the wideouts and the tight ends. Coach Shafer has said Custis is too good of an athlete to be buried on the bench so they'll keep looking for a spot he fits in.

The defensive linemen spent a good part of the day working on goal line drills.

The linebackers spent Monday working on staying low and, well, hitting hard.

Riley Dixon showed off another tool his his belt as he worked on trick plays out of field goal kicks. On three tries, he threw for two touchdowns. Is there anything he can't do?
