We're learning more and more about Syracuse's basketball schedule each day, it appears. Now the latest news begins to shed light on the Orange's ACC schedule. ESPN and the ACC announced the conference's "Big Monday" slate, which features two dates for Syracuse.
The Orange head down to North Carolina at 7 p.m. ET on January 26, 2015 to face the Tar Heels at the Dean Smith Center. Syracuse has not been to Chapel Hill since 1983, an 84-67 loss. Last season, 'Cuse drubbed out the Heels, 57-45 in a defensive show of force that was much more one-sided than the score indicates.
SU's other "Big Monday" date is with newly-minted nemesis Virginia at 7 p.m. ET on March 2. As you might recall, things did not go well down in Charlottesville last season, as the Orange were felled 75-56 in a game we can probably refer to as the "beginning of the end" of 2013-14. Both UVa and UNC figure to be ranked, as does SU -- at least according to way-too-early preseason polls right now.
