Saw this question on Twitter over the weekend courtesy of Reddit CFB and immediately started to wonder what the Syracuse Orange might look like, ratings-wise, if there were such a thing as NCAA '15.
I went and looked back at the ratings for NCAA '13 and NCAA '14 to get a good sense of it and here's what I came up with...
OL #60 (a.k.a. Sean Hickey) - 88
LB #35 (a.k.a. Dyshawn Davis) - 86
LB #90 (a.k.a. Cameron Lynch) - 85
As for guys who had a good shot to be in the 80's as well: Riley Dixon, Jarrod West, Terrel Hunt, Prince-Tyson Gulley, Eric Crume, Brisly Estime and Ross Krautman, whom the game has always had a soft spot for (86, 85 and 84).
As for an overall rating? I'll guess that Syracuse would have been an 82. I'd like to think back-to-back bowl seasons would have earned up an extra point. Somehow, Boston College would still have been rated four points higher.
Sound right? Should someone else be in the Top Three?
