Get To Know Your Orange Man - #20 H-Back Brisly Estime

The Florida speedster returns for a sophomore season that's sure to be full of more excitement.

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Brisly Estime

Position: WR/H-Back

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5'9"

Weight: 172

Hometown: Delray Beach, FL

High School: Atlantic Community

2013 Stats: Brisly appeared in eleven games last season, catching 28 passes for 257 yards and a TD as well as rushing four times for 11 yards. Brisly also saw a lot of action on kick returns, garnering 126 PR yards and 89 KR yards. In the Texas Bowl, he had five catches for 47 yards and returned two punts, including a 70-yarder.

2014 Projections: If you don't already know, Brisly has joined Ashton Broyld on the very short "Whatever You Have To Do To Put The Ball In His Hands, Do It" list. He enters camp as the No. 1 guy at the H-Back spot and you better believe we're working on regular plays and trick plays just for his speedy legs. He's almost certainly going to be a special teams starter as well, returning punts, kickoffs or both.

How'd He Get Here?: Estime's recruitment was a bit of a pinball experience. He committed to Purdue before committing to Iowa State before almost committing to NC State before a last-minute trip to Syracuse sealed the deal. Estime was a George McDonald guy, even when he was at Arkansas. When McDonald was hired by Syracuse, Estime soon followed.

Scout/Rivals Said: Estime was rated three-stars by Rivals, three-stars by ESPN and two-stars by Scout.

Money Quote: "I went with Syracuse because I liked the atmosphere, mostly because of Coach McDonald," Estime said. "Coach McDonald has been recruiting me ever since he was at Miami, Arkansas and now here at Syracuse. That should tell you something. And I followed along with it."

Links Of Wonder: Brisly Estime's 70-yard punt return is biggest play of Syracuse's 21-17 win in Texas Bowl

What Does Shafer Think Of Him: "Brisly Estime...You kind of want him to take Football 101, master it, get an 'A' in the class and then move forward to Football 201."

What Does Will Hicks Think Of Him"We all knew he was fast. He really got fast this offseason. He's a really fast kid right now. I'm not supposed to tell you numbers, but he's fast. Faster than last year. Dramatically faster."

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Incoming recruit Adly Enoicy was a high school teammate of Estime's.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest 2: It's pronounces Ess-tuh-may, just in case you weren't clear. Actually it's Es-teem. Carry on.
