Former Syracuse lacrosse star Matt Abbott has named to the final United States roster for the upcoming 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship in Denver. Abbott was one of seven midfielders to make the active 23-man roster, which was released today by U.S. Lacrosse.
"I really like Syracuse and I don’t need all these other colleges calling me and saying this school is better when I know in my heart and my mind it is not, Syracuse is the place I want to go…I don’t want to go to any college but Syracuse."
The injury cut short Devendorf's season last year Hapoel Afula, a team in the Isreali professional league. Devendorf played in just six games with Hapoel Afula before returning to Syracuse last December.
Philadelphia is one of the few teams that participate in both of the NBA's summer league. The 76ers will put a team in Orlando from July 5-10 and then take part in the Las Vegas Summer League from July 11-21.
There are 21 guys listed among the favorites to win the NBA's Rookie of the Year award during the upcoming 2014-'15 season, and Tyler Ennis isn't one of them.
The Syracuse Orange should be an improved team in 2014, but they have one of the toughest schedules in the country.
