Get To Know Your Orange Man - #2 CB Julian Whigham

With his history of injuries and medical issues hopefully behind him, Whigham is primed for a breakout season.

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Julian Whigham

Position: Cornerback

Year: Junior

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 182

Hometown: West Palm Beach, FL

High School: Dwyer HS

2013 Stats: Whigham played in 10 games before a scary injury against Florida State sidelined him for the rest of the season. Before that he garnered 12 overall tackles, six pass deflections and three interceptions.

2014 Projections: Assuming his injuries are behind him, it's Whigham's time to shine. He's slated as one of the starting corners across from Brandon Reddish. Wayne Morgan is looking to challenge for playing time but expect that trio to see the bulk of the snaps, at least early on.

How'd He Get Here?: Julian was the Sun-Sentinel Big School Defensive Player of the Year in 2011. Syracuse managed to fight off offers from Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Indiana and Boston College.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Rivals gave him three stars, while Scout said two.
