Syracuse needs to lock up Hofrichter to solidify the future kicking game. With a team who relies on its defense more than scoring points, a strong kicker could be the difference between a winning and losing season. The Orange did its part in offering the kicking spot in the 2015 class to the Seffner, FL native. Now they must play the waiting game.

Miller’s recruiting success became more and more evident by the season in his Syracuse tenure. The program’s 2011 class was ranked No. 40 by College Soccer News, the 2012 class was rated No. 14 and three players from the 2013 class — Halis, Nanco and Ekblom — were named to’s top 100 freshman list during last season.

3. Syracuse Randy Staats could breakout and be a bonafide Tewaaraton candidate next year, and Staats returns along with Kevin Rice and Dylan Donahue return to lead the offense. That's a great foundation to build around. Four other starters are also back. Bobby Wardwell will assume the starting goaltender job with Dominic Lamolinara graduated. The Orange will miss defenseman Matt Harris' versatility, but Brandon Mullins is a rising star on the back end.
