Syracuse Orange forward C.J. Fair returned to the school for his senior season with the goal of fine-tuning his game and putting himself in a better position to be drafted. Unfortunately, it's not gonna play out that way as Fair did not hear his name called Thursday during the 2014 NBA Draft.
Fair will now wait to find out who invites him to Summer League so he can get his shot at the NBA.
Fair led the Orange in scoring (16.5 PPG, 7th in ACC) and minutes played (37.8) while also grabbing 6.4 RPG. He was named 1st-Team All ACC, 2nd-Team All-American By USBWA and 3rd-Team All-American by the AP.
There were many who thought Fair's name wouldn't be called on Thursday. C.J. was a workout machine leading up to the draft and while that might still pay off, it didn't help him get drafted.
C.J. Fair, his family and his agent just left the Barclays. I would say that's a sign that he's not getting picked.

Ah, that stings.
