Get To Know Your Orange Man - #7 LB Oliver Vigille

The RS Junior will have a chance to make his mark this year but the LB depth chart is a deep one.

Name: Oliver Vigille

Position: Linebacker

Year: RS Junior

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 224

Hometown: Miami, FL

High School: Miami Central

2013 Stats: Vigile played in 12 games for the Orange, garnering five total tackles and two pack break-ups.

2014 Projections: It seemed like it might have been Oliver's time to shine but Marqez Hodge leapfrogged him in the spring depth chart. You can bet that fight is far from over, especially once Luke Arciniega returns from injury. Expect Vigille to remain a key special teams player while also earning more and more reps on defense. (Here's a breakdown on him and the other LBs).

How'd He Get Here?: Vigille was a part of the 2011 recruiting class and chose Syracuse over in-state schools USF, Central Florida and FIU. Vigille was recruited by then-defensive coordinator, now head coach Scott Shafer.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Scout gave Oliver 2 stars and ranked him No. 160 among outside linebackers. Rivals gave him the 3 star treatment.

What Does Scott Shafer Think Of Him: Here's Doug Marrone on Vigille when he committed...

...Oliver Vigille from down in Florida, he also was another kid who jumped in fairly quickly in the recruiting process and he had an outstanding year on a championship team and he was a catalyst in getting Durell Eskridge on our team.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Vigille, Durell Eskridge and the aforementioned Marqez Hodge all attended Miami Central.
