Study: Where will Syracuse play football and basketball games if Carrier Dome is unavailable? | syracuse.com

The report said the Carrier Dome roof is "highly likely" to need to be replaced by 2024 and would cost the university $25 million. That replacement would take an estimated three months to complete and, barring unforeseen issues, could be done without impacting the football and basketball seasons.

How Syracuse basketball will free up a scholarship for one more 2015 recruit | The Juice Online

With the verbal commitment of 4-star combo guard Frank Howard, Syracuse is out of scholarships for the 2015-2016 basketball season. Howard, the fourth top-70 recruit to commit to the Orange, would be a nice way to cap off the 2015 class, but Syracuse continues to recruit 5-star prospects Thomas Bryant, a 6’10’’ center, and Derrick Jones, an athletic wing. Here’s how Syracuse will free up a scholarship to sign one of them.

College Football Countdown | No. 75: Syracuse

I do think the Orange knock out another six wins during the regular season, earning a third bowl bid in as many years. My optimism – though six wins may seem pessimistic to this fan base – stems from the returning core of contributors: Hunt, Tyson-Gulley, Hickey, Broyld, Trudo, Crume, Thompson, Davis, Lynch and Eskridge.

Syracuse football 2014 opponent preview: A Villanova win 'wouldn't be the biggest shock of the weekend' | syracuse.com

"I would expect Nova is going up there thinking it can win. That was certainly the case last year against BC, with new coach and all. Syracuse might be a tougher challenge, but Nova has beaten IA's in the past and given many others good games in losses. It wouldn't be the biggest shock of the weekend if they pulled it off."

New Syracuse basketball player Christian White talks transfer, scholarship, court savvy, playing time | syracuse.com

I've been a fan my whole life. I always went to Syracuse basketball camps. In high school, I was invited to the Syracuse Elite Camp. I went to that twice. I got to know Coach Hopkins, Coach McNamara pretty well. And then throughout AAU, they were at a lot of my (Albany City Rocks) games because they were recruiting Dajuan (Coleman). And things didn't go the way I'd planned at Monmouth. No harsh feelings. It just wasn't the right place for me. It's awful because I had to leave a lot of friends and that was tough. But when I decided to transfer, I thought, 'I may as well look into Syracuse.' And they're giving me an opportunity.
