Jim Boeheim: LeBron & Carmelo Would Be 'A Good Fit'

Jim Boeheim has some thoughts about the potential pairing of Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James.

The world is a better place when Jim Boeheim is speaking on the record to people with microphones and recording devices.

We got an earful of Jim Boeheim this morning from his podcast with Brent Axe. Boeheim more or less said that Tyler Ennis better carb up, Jerami Grant should have stayed, Donte Greene is his shining example of why you shouldn't leave early and C.J. Fair is the greatest human being alive.

With the rumors swirling over Carmelo Anthony's free agency and the possibility he could end up in Miami alongside LeBron James, you had to know it was only a matter of time before Boeheim shared his thoughts on the matter. And here they are...

"They're very good friends. But it's business. They're going to make business decisions," Boeheim said. "It's all right to give up some money. I mean, they're making enough money where it's not like they're going to be poor. You can try to fit yourself in that way."

"Oh yeah," he said. "I think Carmelo gets (the ball) too much. He's better when he catches it in scoring position. He scores. LeBron can have it all the time. He makes plays. Carmelo's a scorer. When he gets it, he'll be ready to score. They should be a good fit."

I'm not exactly sure how everyone is going to hate Boeheim for this but I'm sure everyone's working out their preconceived angles as we speak. Personally, I think it'd be kinda lame for Melo to join the Miami superstar assembly line but I'm sure both he and LeBron are super-motivated to win a title ASAP, so, it's not out of the realm of possibility.

If it does happen, at least we know Jim Boeheim will be here to speak openly about what's going right or wrong and then get killed for it regardless of which side he takes...
