Get To Know Your Orange Man - #91, DE Isaiah Johnson

"Get to Know..." Isaiah Johnson .

Isaiah Johnson's Facebook

Name: Isaiah Johnson

Position: Defensive End

Year: Sophomore

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 276

Hometown: New Castle, Del.

High School: Eastern Christian Academy

2013 Stats: As a freshman, Johnson played in 10 games, recording five tackles, including 1.5 for a loss. He also defended two passes and even recorded an interception. Nicely done, Zeke.

2014 Projections: Johnson actually had a pretty nice impact in those moments when he saw the field. But this spring, he was still third on the depth chart at the end position (behind Micah Robinson and Donnie Simmons, respectively). However, he may see some burn at defensive tackle (more on that below...).

How'd He Get Here: He said 'no' to UConn (smart man), Temple, Hawaii and Marist (you guys have football??).

What'd Recruiting Sites Say: Rivals and Scout both gave Zeke a subjective two stars.

Money Quote: "Am I the only one who doesn't care about St.Patricks day !?" (via his now-retired Twitter feed)... No sir, you are not the only one. Stand and be counted, other anti-St. Pats folks.

Links Of Wonder: Defensive tackle is a bit of a mystery right now, so apparently Johnson's in the mix to jump into that spot... maybe.

Twitterfeed: As mentioned earlier, his Twitter feed has been retired. Such a sad day for greater Syracuse football Twitter-dom.

Tweets Of Wonder: Sooo many great tweets, just like the one above about St. Patrick's Day. One of my other favorites:

What Does Shafer Think Of Him: Shafer was impressed that not only did Isaiah Johnson beat New York traffic to get to a football camp, but was blowing by blockers in the process.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Zeke helped save Syracuse's season last year. Bet you forgot about that...

Let's Get A Good Look Atcha: Related to the game above, this "must see" highlight:
