The Syracuse Orange only needed one day to find a replacement for Davante Davis.
On the day after Davis decided to reopen his recruitment process, Syracuse landed another cornerback from the state of Florida. The Orange received a verbal commitment from Andrew Spence on Friday, according to CuseNation.com's Mike McAllister.
Spence, a 6-2 and 190 pound corner from Coral Gables High, had offers from Indiana, South Alabama and UAB. He received two stars from Rivals and was unrated by Scout.
A few weeks ago, Spence was named as the 23rd best player from Miami-Dade County, according to the Miami Herald. Fellow SU recruit Gerald Robinson was No. 11 on that list.
Before adding Spence, Syracuse's 2015 recruiting class ranked 53rd overall and seventh in the ACC. SU now has eight players in the class, including five from Florida. McAllister reported that all five Florida recruits have committed without visiting campus.
