Get To Know Your Orange Man - #42 TE Jacob Green

Next up, all the way from Seattle, it's Syracuse tight end Jacob Green.

Name: Jacob Green

Position: Tight End

Year: RS Sophomore

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 254

Hometown: Seattle, WA

High School: Seattle Prep

2013 Stats: Green played in two games last season, catching one pass for four yards against Wagner.

2014 Projections: Green's probably going to be need a lot of things to fall into place, or out of place as it were, in order to see significant playing time. He's buried at fourth on the TE depth chart behind Josh Parris, Kendall Moore and Tyler Provo.

How'd He Get Here?: Green walked on in 2012, though no one's ever really delved into how a Seattle guy ends up at Syracuse. So we can just assume he threw a dart at a map and here he is. The only other important question is, how many eggs has he eaten from Beth's Cafe?

Scout/Rivals Said: No one said much about the All-Metro selection who played both tight end and defensive end in high school.

Tweets Of Wonder: Syracuse Football Players...they're just like us!

What Does Shafer Think Of Him: George McDonald basically calls Jacob our Rudy right here...

"Jacob is at a disadvantage in height-weight-speed ratio but he is probably our best technician."

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: He appears to be dating SU lacrosse player Amanda Wheeler. Quite the SU Athletics power couple.
