Get To Know Your Orange Man - #60 OT Sean Hickey

This senior offensive lineman elected to come back to Syracuse for his final year of eligibility instead of going pro, and we're so glad he did.

Name: Sean Hickey

Position: Offensive Tackle

Year: RS Senior

Height: 6'5"

Weight: 300

Hometown: Murrysville, PA

High School: Franklin Regional

2013 Stats: Hickey started every game and did some nice work, which lead to receiving All-ACC Honorable Mention...um...honors.

2014 Projections: He's The Guy on the O-line. Again. Expect him to continue to be integral to the success of Syracuse's offense.

How'd He Get Here: Hickey picked SU over Boston College. Personally, I think we should be able to get some Orange Eagle points for stuff like this. Can I get a ruling?

What'd Recruiting Sites Say: Two stars from Scout and Rivals.

Money Quote: This comes courtesy of Terrel Hunt, actually, when he found out Hickey was returning this season:

Oh man...as soon as I heard it, I texted him "thank you." That's all I said. That was the conversation.

Links Of Wonder: Here's some more on when Sean decided to come back to Syracuse for his final season of eligibility, in spite of being seen as one of the top 20 OTs in this year's NFL Draft pool.

Twitterfeed: Check him out @HickeyCuse60.

Tweets Of Wonder: A man after my own heart:

What Does Shafer Think Of Him: Recently, Shafer praised Hickey's leadership, saying:

I've been pleased with [him] stepping up to the plate. He's played left tackle for us for a long time and I liked the way he stepped up during practice and pulled people with him.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Sean did some serious conditioning during the off season, focusing on getting stronger in his lower body.

Let's Get A Good Look Atcha: This video doesn't focus on Hickey in particular, but it's 9+ minutes of offense during the Texas Bowl. It's fun.
