The Syracuse Orange football Class of 2015 already had a running back from New York. But why have one running back from New York when you can have two?
Syracuse picked up its second verbal commitment in as many weeks with the addition of the 5'11", 195-pound RB from Lawrence High School in Cedarhurst, N.Y.

You can watch highlights on his Hudl page, which also states that he runs the 40 in 4.56 seconds.
According to CuseNation.com, the chance to play for Syracuse was "too good to pass up." They also mention that Fredericks attended the Spring Game on Saturday and chose SU over offers from Stony Brook and Temple.
He rushed for 1,668 yards on 143 carries last season while also catching 34 passes for 648 yards. Fredericks scored 32 total touchdowns and was named 1st-Team All-State.
The RB isn't rated by most of the services but you can expect that to change soon. When unrated Tyrone Perkins committed to SU, he all of a sudden became a three-star player.
The addition of Bobby Acosta to the staff has to be noted, considering Syracuse now has just as many NYS recruits in the 2015 Class as it did in the entire 2014 Class.
