Syracuse Men's Lacrosse Jumps To No. 4 In Polls

The Orange move up three spots following wins over Cornell and North Carolina.

The Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team just keeps on moving up the rankings thanks to another impressive victory. This time it was an 11-10 double-OT victory over North Carolina. The win, plus a victory over Cornell earlier in the week, pushed the Orange into the ACC Tournament and vaulted the Orange all the way up to No. 4 in both the Media and Coaches Polls. SU climbed all the way up from 7th in both polls last week.

Loyola is still No. 1 in both polls but Duke is gaining heavily at No. 2. If the Blue Devils can win-out, they'll most likely end up as the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Denver and Syracuse round out the top four. After that, Hopkins, Maryland and North Carolina are in a jumble for the 5th - 7th spots. Other ACC schools in the rankings include Notre Dame (8/8) and Virginia (9/10).

Quint Kessenich has the Orange at No. 3 in his power rankings while Glaude has Syracuse No.4 in his weekly ballot.

The Orange now close out the regular season with a road contest against Hobart (4-7) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. With another showdown with Duke looming in the ACC Tournament, let's hope the Orange don't get caught looking ahead here.
