HopkinsWatch: Mike Hopkins Out Of BC Discussion, Per Report

This whole Mike Hopkins BC business started with a tweet from ESPN's Jeff Goodman. It may have just ended with one as well.

St. Bonaventure's Mark Schmidt and Syracuse assistant Mike Hopkins are no longer options at BC, sources told ESPN.

Well then.

Obviously, no word on whether or not that means BC wasn't interested or Hopkins wasn't interested, but, doesn't really matter. For the time being, Coach Hop remains a Syracuse Orange.

Doesn't mean Hop won't consider some of the other open spots around the nation but I suppose you can breathe easy for the moment. I still say that of all the open gigs, only the Cal one makes sense given what we know about Hop and what he's looking for.
