First Meeting: The first meeting took place in the second-round of the 1985 NCAA Tournament in Atlanta. Despite Rafael Addison's 17 points, the Orangemen fell 70-53 and the Jackets advanced.
Last Meeting: The most recent meeting between the two teams occurred in the championship game of the Legends Classic in Atlantic City in 2010. No. 9 Syracuse survived a 32-point effort by Brian Oliver and won by four, though they didn't get credit for the win since Atlantic City, NJ is basically a suburb of Syracuse, NY.

Last Year: GT finished the season 16–15 (6–12) in a tie for ninth place in the ACC. They lost in the first round of the ACC Tournament to Boston College and that was that.
Last Game: The Jackets lost their fourth in a row and sixth of their last seven games with an 81-71 loss to Florida State. Robert Carter Jr. scored 20 points in the loss.
Head Coach Bio: Gregory, the 13th head coach in Yellow Jacket history, coached eight seasons at Dayton where he compiled a record of 172-94 and took the Flyers to the post-season five times. His 2003-04 and 2008-09 teams earned NCAA Tournament berths, and the Flyers captured the 2010 NIT crown after beating North Carolina in the champion- ship game. So far, he's struggled to keep the Jackets above water in three seasons and will likely need to put the pieces together next year to improve his long-term prospects.
"Fear Me, I've Killed Hundreds Of Timelords": Daniel Miller is averaging 11.6 points and 7.7 rebounds (4th in the ACC) while hitting 53.9 percent of his shots in ACC games. Miller also ranks second all-time at Tech in blocks with 276 and is second among active ACC players in rebounds with 792. Trae Golden leads the balanced Georgia Tech offense with 12.7 PPG.
