Syracuse Lacrosse: Orange Jump To No. 7/8 In Polls Following Notre Dame Win

The Orange move up two spots in both polls. All five ACC squads remain in the top ten.

Another weekend, another completely different direction for the Syracuse Orange lacrosse team. One week their heart is being questioned, the next week they're knocking off top five squads. Back and forth, round and round we go.

Following this weekend's 12-11 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Orange moved up to T-8th in the Media Poll and 7th in the Coaches Poll (College Crosse has the full poll breakdown here).

Loyola is the No. 1 team in the land in both polls, followed by No. 2 Cornell, No. 3 Duke, No. 4 Maryland and No. 5 North Carolina. Fellow ACC schools Notre Dame (7/8) and Virginia (T-8/9) are also in the top ten. I'm sure Virginia is pleased to be tied in the polls with a team they beat.

Syracuse's next game is Wednesday when they host the Binghamton Bearcats (3-5) in the Dome. Face-off is set for 7 p.m. It's record-padding time, guys.
