No. 6 Syracuse Orange (23-9) vs. No. 3 Kentucky Wildcats (25-8) GameThread

One Syracuse basketball team is still alive and they're playing for their first Sweet Sixteen appearance in school history.

The Syracuse Orange basketball season isn't over yet!

The women are coming off their first win in NCAA Tournament history and look to double their number of lifetime tourney victories when they take on the Kentucky Wildcats tonight. It won't be easy as the game is literally a home game for the Cats in Lexington, KY.

The game tips around 6:40 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPN3. The ESPN2 feed may bounce around game-to-game so ESPN3 might be your best bet. You can also listen to the call on the radio at 97.7 or 100.1 FM. And of course you can listen on Cuse.com as well.

The big news for the Orange is the loss of Brittney Sykes, who hurt her knee in the win over Chattanooga. Our WBB writer Sean Farrell says Coach Q will probably go PG-heavy to get back an advantage:

La’Shay Taft will likely get the starting nod, but all three points guards should see an expanded role as well. At times this season, Hillsman has opted to play two point guards on the floor at one time. Both Coffey and Fondren can move from their usual position to the two-guard spot. It allows the Orange to get a little more balance from the backcourt, something Hillsman has emphasized.

If you want to get to know this Kentucky team, you can check out our Q&A with A Sea of Blue here. And if you need to get caught up on your own Orange, check out our answers to their Q's.

It's a tall order for the Orange but that's what makes the NCAA Tournament special. You never know what's gonna happen. Just ask the men's team...
