Syracuse Football: WR Adrian Flemming Will Return For Fifth Season

Flemming, who missed almost all of the 2013 season with an injury, will return following a redshirt.

The Syracuse Orange football team got a whole bunch of new wide receivers in the Class of 2014 today. Turns out, it will also get back another wide receiver in senior Adrian Flemming, who missed almost all of the 2013 season with an injury.

The Syracuse head coach confirmed that Adrian Flemming, who suffered a season-ending lower-body injury during SU’s season opener against Penn State last year, will use 2013 as a redshirt season and return for the 2014 campaign.

"Flem’s coming back," Shafer said. "He looks good. He’s running around. He’s excited."

"His body’s in great shape," Shafer said. "His legs are looking good — he says he’s got the bounce back into his legs — and we’re excited to get him back out there, too."

Flemming's return bolsters a solid-but-developing WR corp. He has played in eighteen games over the past three years, though primarily on special teams. He caught two passes for eighteen yards in 2013 before getting injured.
