National Signing Day, Syracuse Recruiting: The Corey Cooper Era Can Finally Begin

It was so long ago that Cooper committed to play for Syracuse, this really is just a formality.

Stat Me: The 6’1" 190 lbs wideout was ranked as North Carolina's 25th best wide receiver and comes complete with a 28-inch vertical leap. In his senior season at Millbrook H.S., he had 41 receptions for 461 yards and six touchdowns.

Seein' Stars: Scout, Rivals and ESPN - 3 stars.

Who's Crying?: Tennessee, South Carolina, Miami, Oklahoma State, Louisville

Money Quote: "At first I was mad that I couldn't come in with the 2013 class. As prep school went along, I was just saying how blessed I was because Coach McGarrah, he knew so much about the game. He helped me so much with my route running and just everything. I was just blessed to have him as one of my position coaches. I guess God sent me there just to get coached by him, so I could be ready for Syracuse."

"The Dome is pretty nice," Dawson said. "That was probably one of the best parts of Syracuse. That was definitely my favorite part. It’s just huge and they said it gets real loud. There’s not many colleges playing in a straight up dome every week for their home games. So it’s seems pretty unique." - See more at: http://www.highschoolcubenews.com/news_article/show/273716?referrer_id=791258#sthash.kcqFx471.dpuf

Which SU Coach Gets a Bonus?: George McDonald

Fun Fact: Cooper was originally a part of the Class of 2013 but he didn't qualify. While he worked out his academics, some other schools tried to swoop in and sway him but Cooper stood firm. He enrolled at SU this semester and has been on campus for a while now.
